Every November we celebrate Vegan Month and most importantly, World Vegan Day, which is celebrated on November 1st every year. Today is a chance to reflect, educate and take action on why veganism is important to you and also to help others who are considering going vegan.
Originally celebrated back in 1994, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the UK Vegan Society, the day is now chance to look forward at the growing rise of people changing their diets to take advantage of the amazing health benefits the diet has to offer and the positive impact this is having on our environment.
So how can you celebrate today?
You hear rumours that a Vegan diet could be seen as boring and flavourless, when this is far from the truth. Take some of your favourite recipes, turn them vegan and give it a try yourself! We even have some recipes in our blog to help get you started.
If you are vegan and looking for inspiration then why not push your boundaries and experiment with new ingredients and flavours. Challenge yourself each week of November to try out a new recipe and find out the outcome!

Not fully plant-based yet but are considering making the change? Then why not explore more vegan options in your diet. It’s understandable that people see veganism as a big life change, but its something you can take at your own pace. Every small step you take is a positive change, and one day you might be able to take the big step and go full time vegan.
Wondering why you should go vegan? Then take a look at the health benefits and environmental impact this diet has. Did you know you can get your daily calcium intake just from vegetables? That’s just one of the amazing and surprising benefits of a plant-based diet. You can find some resources on our blog or do your own research online.
Take a look at events going on in your local area, there may be more around this November as it is World Vegan Month, but there will be many other groups doing good all year round!
