Fighting Cold and Flu Season with Immunity Boost Shots

With the cold weather setting in and cold and flu season fast approaching building up your immune system has now become more important than ever.

One of the easiest small remedies to help boost your body’s natural defences is to make yourself some Immunity Boost Shots. These homemade wonders are simple to make but can pack a punch. These shots will be packed full of essential nutrients which your body uses for everyday health and to help combat against your cold or flu.

The following recipes are just a couple examples of the different flavours you could include in your shots:

Ginger and Carrot Shot

1 Cup of diced Carrot (Soak for half an hour to soften)

1 Orange

30g Ginger

 

Pure Green Shot

3 handfuls of spinach

1 medium cucumber

1 lemon

2 celery sticks

3 tbsp water

  

Beetroot Shot

5 small - medium Beetroots

50g Ginger

1 Juiced Lemon

 

Citrus and Tumeric Shot

1 Orange

1 Juiced Lemon

½ teaspoon Turmeric

30g Ginger

1 Cup frozen Mango

 

Just blend all of the ingredients together and pour in a small/ shot glass and drink!
