We're delighted to have partnered with The Benjamin Foundation as one of the food providers for participants in this year's sleep out event in Norwich. Erpingham House will be cooking our signature warm chilli and serving it to those braving the cold conditions at this year's venue, Carrow road car park. The event sees people from all walks of life raise money for the charity by sleeping outside using just cardboard & warm clothes to raise awareness of homelessness. Erpingham house staff will participate and together raise money for The Benjamin Foundation, with a target set of £1000.
Homelessness in the UK is still a major concern, with 83,000 young people identifying as such. More still are in unsafe accommodation. In 2017, The Benjamin Foundation over 40,000 safe nights and a home for vulnerable young adults. At any time, the foundation has over 100 young people living in it's accommodation. The event is a great way to build not only awareness of the issue but raise much needed funds to help continue it's good work.
We invite you to join us on the sleep out. Also, we're working toward our target of £1000, so all donations big or small are welcome. You can donate via https://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/Team/ErpinghamHouse. For more information on the sleep out, visit https://benjaminfoundation.co.uk/sleep-out-2018.
